This policy is to inform you how Linda Noakes Acupuncture looks after and stores information collected from patients.

How information is collected
Information is collected during telephone calls, emails or during treatments.
Types of information Collected
Personal information, contact details, health and lifestyle and dates of attendance are recorded on paper and held in a locked cabinet at my clinic. There is no access by the public to the area where records are stored. Card details are not retained and are made through izettle and are encrypted securely. Email addresses, emails, mobile numbers and texts may be held on my private devices which are all password protected.
Some messages are stored on facebook if clients contact me in this way.
How is the information used
To help me give appropriate treatments and identify you.
Appointment reminders or changes
Fulfil my statutory obligations to hold your records for seven years or as long as is necessary for relevant activities.
Information Sharing
I will never share your information with a third party for marketing purposes.
I will only share your information with other medical practitioners after gaining your approval
Contact information will not be used for promoting my services
I have a legal obligation to retain your records for 7 years after your most recent appointment After this time your records will be destroyed in a method compliant with GDPR
